Ansammlung von Chylus in der Pleurahöhle; z.B. selten infolge Lymphgefäßanomalien oder meist nach verletzungsbedingtem Riss (u. evtl. kombiniert mit Pneumothorax = Chylopneumothorax), operativer Verletzung oder nach Arrosion (bei Tumor, Tbk) des Ductus thoracicus sowie auch infolge Rückstauung im Ductus th. (bei Thrombose der li. Arteria subclavia oder A. brachiocephalica). s.a. Chyloptoe.
